A New Year = A Time to Evaluate

 Most of us dream dreams that God has put into us and He wants to birth in us; yet we set them aside as impossible.

Yet God...

• Never puts a desire in our hear, "beckons" us to walk on water, unless He intends for us to step out on in faith and at least make the attempt. 
• Whether or we achieve or not is almost immaterial to Him.
• The Passing of the test lies in whether we try- in whether we’re willing to be filled with faith to God’s call on our lives.
  

God says in His Word:

• Mark 9: Nothing is impossible with God.
• Jeremiah 29:11 He has a plan for you.
• Proverb: Without a vision the people parish.

 

It is too easy to go through life:

• Never thinking about a vision or mission.
• Just "keeping" our heads above water.
• Making money... surviving the day to day matters of life.
• Surviving the major crises.
• Getting married and having kids.
• Just living and trying to enjoy life.

Are you so busy living life that you don’t know why you are living? In other words, what the purpose of your life is?

Having a vision for your life is crucial.

Vision:

• When you have a clear vision, you can risk your life for it.
• People who run to win are willing to pay the price and know what race they are in... and where the finish line is.
• The reason most people quit growing is that they are not willing to pay the price.
• Faith equals risk. Without faith it is impossible to please God.
• God has big plans for you. Don’t take what God meant for you and ruin it with mediocre living.
  

If you do not know what the vision for your life is; pray and ask God to birth the vision that He has for you within you.

After we have had God birth a vision in our spirits and have determined that, at all cost, we will implement His vision in our lives, we must decide how we are going to do it.

Setting goals helps achieve your vision:

• Setting a goal is like focusing sunlight with a magnifying glass.
• When your life energy is shining on a pinpoint, you start a fire.
• Writing down your spiritual, family, professional, self improvement goals will begin to set in motion the habits necessary to achieve them.
• The mind moves in the direction of its dominant thoughts, and what you measure and monitor improves.

How do start to set your goals?

• Begin with general goals.
• Break your general goals down into specific daily tasks.
• Set some life goals.
• Establish a mission statement.

A mission statement for your life:

• A life purpose: why do I exist;
• A calling: what you do.
• A vision or mental picture of what you want to happen; and
• A mission; how you will go about it.

Remember who your God is!

His Son’s death gave purpose to your living.

Remember how He loves you!

Remember some of the examples:

• Mary and Joseph
• Moses
• David
• Rehab
• Zaccheus
• Paul
• Jesus

Your life is of no less value; rather your life is worth just as much to God. He has just a big of plans for you!

So, in faith attempt something so big that unless God intervenes it is bound to fail!
