“God’s Power in Your Weakness” |
|
| “We are weak… yet by God’s power we will live with Him to serve you.” 2 Corinthians 13:4 (NIV) |
| “I am with you; that is all you need. My power shows up best in weak people.” 2 Corinthians 12:9a |
God loves to use weak people!
Everyone has weaknesses.
You may also have circumstances that weaken you.
What you do with your weakness and your circumstances is what really matters.
Our nature leads us to…
deny our weaknesses,
defend them,
excuse them,
hide them,
and resent them.
This prevents God from using them the way He desires.
The Lord has a different perspective on your weaknesses.
God wants to use your weaknesses for His glory.
| “God purposely chose… what the world considers weak in order to shame the powerful.” I Cor. 1:27 (TEV) |
Have you ever found yourself thinking… “God could never use me?”
| “We are like clay jars in which the treasure is stored. The real power comes from God and not from us.” 2 Cor. 4:7 (TEV) |
The Apostle Paul came to accept his weaknesses.
| "To keep me from becoming conceited because of these surpassingly great revelations, there was given me a thorn in my flesh, a messenger of Satan, to torment me." 2 Corinthians 12:7 |
We too can be used by God if we allow Him to work
through our weaknesses.
How? Do like Paul…
Admit your weaknesses.
Be content with your weaknesses.
Honestly share your weaknesses.
Glory in your weaknesses.
| “My grace is sufficient for you, My power is made perfect in weakness.” 2 Corinthians 12:9a |
